Supporting widows is at the heart of our mission. Through our Widow’s Power initiative, we have successfully sponsored 40 widows with solar kits, raising an incredible £20,500 to make this possible. But we’re not stopping there—our campaign continues as we work toward empowering another 40 widows with clean, sustainable energy. We remain dedicated to empowering the 600+ widows connected to us.

BACKGROUND
An estimated 8 million widows comprise nearly 15% of Kenya's population. Rural widows, in particular, remain disadvantaged by harmful cultural practices and poverty.
The Widow’s Power initiative seeks to help empower and restore dignity to one of Africa’s most vulnerable demographics, the widow. By providing a clean energy source, not only can we turn the lights on, but with access to electricity, widows will have the opportunity to start businesses and provide for their families.
